Group Investment Fund is BFT's primary endowment fund and is specifically designed for endowment assets. GIF's long-term asset allocation is well diversified, investing in global equities, fixed income, real estate and private equity. GIF's long-term distribution goal is approximately 5% of the fund's market value. GIF seeks the highest level of total return within reasonable risk levels, consistent with the long-term nature of endowment funds.
GIF invests in BFT’s separate asset class common investment funds. The asset class common investment funds are also available for direct investment by institutions and endowments. Institutional clients may contribute to or withdraw funds from GIF and BFT's other common investment funds twice a month through the purchase or liquidation of units at each fund's net asset value (NAV). The funds are valued daily and income distributions are made periodically, depending on the fund and the needs of the institution.
BFT's common investment funds are socially screened to eliminate certain companies whose business activities are inconsistent with Baptist faith and beliefs.
