Many people think that the only way they can have a part in supporting Baptist causes is through their tithes and special offerings during their lifetimes. The truth is that a very viable and fulfilling means of contributing to these ministries is through gift arrangements such as charitable trusts, qualified charitable gift annuities, and other charitable gift methods. In addition, the federal government provides several tax incentives for these types of charitable gifts such as the income tax charitable deduction. These gift arrangements are known as "planned gifts" or "life income gifts."
